Sky Blue Fruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 74 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a flexible, twisting trunk covered in hard, waxy, dark green bark, and inside, the very hard wood is dark brown.
The abundance of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of small, long, tapering leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are generally sky blue.
In early spring, it produces thousands of small, dark grey blossoms with wide petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like roses.
In late summer it produces small, circular fruit. The clammy red skin is thin and inedible, and the very soft azure flesh is bitter and juicy. The bronze seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
