Purplebrush

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 90 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of thick, slanted stems covered in fine, waxy, brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are very long and thick that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, fan-like, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are slate at the bottom and purple with grey dots at the top, light and sticky.

In mid-spring it produces lots of giant, dull orange flowers with 6 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a weak scent that smells like skunk spray.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
