Pink-Red Succulent
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This short cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is pink-red, and is covered in sharp spines.
It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are either grey or subtle orange, with a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like grass cuttings.
The cactus's skin is thick, the silver flesh is smooth, and the slate sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
