Goldenfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 44 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wonky trunk covered in fine, cracked, brown and grey bark, and inside, the soft wood is yellow.

The branches are short and thin and are covered with small bunches of huge, oval-shaped leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in gentle yellow, orange and yellow varieties.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of large, cyan blossoms with 6 heart-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like garlic.

In late summer it produces , long, narrow fruit. The fuzzy gold skin is thin and sweet, and the slightly crunchy white flesh is sour and juicy. The green seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The leaves and petals are often used to make tea.
