Yellow Bog Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
