Silverbark
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This massive tree grows up to 121 meters (397.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 609 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, crooked trunk covered in thick, waxy, silver bark, and inside, the very dense wood is yellow-brown.
The tangled mess of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of rough, small, wispy leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either indigo, or orange with copper patches.
In early spring, it produces clusters of small, amber blossoms with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like honeysuckle.
In late summer it forms large, lime, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
