Violetgrass

This small, violet grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in thin clumps that are flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, cream tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.
