Pink Fruit Tree

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 32 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, curved trunk covered in paper-thin, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is white.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with thick bunches of giant, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are pink and purple.

In early spring, it produces thousands of medium-sized, bronze blossoms with 8 cylindrical shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like an ocean breeze.

In mid-autumn it produces small, cuboid fruit. The rubbery amber skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy orange flesh is sweet and spicy and powdery. The gold seed is very large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
