Burgundy Bluegrass

This small, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in extensive patches that are durable and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, vivid blue puff.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of large grains.
