Spiny Lime

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is lime green, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible red spines. The thick leaves are cream with cyan tips. Thick bunches of them grow on wide, brown branches that are short stubs. The leaves are sturdy, but take little effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are cyan in the center, azure in the middle and green at the edges, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 40 curved petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like a damp log.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the vivid yellow flesh is leathery, and the deep green sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is suitable for making paper
