Lime Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This massive tree grows up to 114 meters (374.0 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 83 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in very thick, smooth, brown and grey bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.

The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of soft, giant, spear shaped leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lime that gradient shifts to white at the top.

In late summer it forms giant, subtle purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
