Emerald Triangular Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and can spread and grow quickly, and is slightly robust.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
