Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized, silver grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very thick stalks grow in extensive patches that are flimsy and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, pink puff.
During the early winter, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for making strong rope
