Blue Spikelet Grass

This big, yellow-green grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in small clumps that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, sky blue spikelet.

During the mid-summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.
