Silverleaf

Tree type: Deciduous (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 527 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, slanted trunk covered in thin, waxy, light gray bark, and inside, the dense wood is silver.

The numerous branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of crispy, huge, very thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are vivid blue at the bottom and gold with indigo edges at the top.

In early spring, it produces many small, sky blue blossoms with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a faint scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

In late summer it forms large, indigo berries.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The leaves are bitter, but very healthy.
