Silver

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This big fruit tree grows up to 40 feet (12.2 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 64 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in fine, wrinkled, silver and white bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown.

The small handful of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of miniature, very thin leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are generally lime.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of large, beige blossoms with long, narrow petals. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like lavender.

In late summer it produces small, oblong fruit. The rough yellow skin is thick and edible when roasted; it is sour, and the crunchy gentle purple flesh is spicy and sticky. The deep orange seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
