Silverfoot Moss

Moss type: Moss

This silver moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In damp forests, In rainy mountain ranges, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely durable; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.


It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is suitable for making strong rope
