Olive Tailgrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized, emerald grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in thin clumps that are strong.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, olive tail.

During the early summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
