Mahogany
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This colossal shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for around 23 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has dozens of wide, slanted stems covered in delicate, ridged, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.
The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of large, circular, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid olive or brown, with indigo patches, strong and smooth.
It produces many large, silver flowers with finger-like petals. They are hardy and have a powerful scent that smells like pot-purri. In mid-autumn it forms tinygold seed pods.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is suitable for making strong rope
