Golden Needle Flower
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the small, green leaves are needle-like with irregular edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
Each stem splits 2 to 5 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with petals that are orange on the underside and gold on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 60 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has a delicate scent that smells like new carpet, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
It is suitable for making paper
