Ambergrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This short, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thick stalks grow in sparse patches that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, amber tuft.

During the early winter, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of tiny grains.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
