Grey Blue Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 54 feet (16.5 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is pink-red, and is covered in lots of fine, hazel, hair-like spines. The serrated-edged, very thick leaves are grey and blue. Small amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 3, then 6, then 9, and so on. The leaves are flimsy, but do not detach easily.
It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with grey petals on the lower layer and pink petals decorated with violet dots on the inner layer. The central disk is ashy blue grows at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. It has no scent.
The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the grey flesh is smooth, and the orange sap is thin and can kill if consumed.
