Puffgrass

This small, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in thick clumps that are flexible and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, gentle purple puff.

During the late autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of tiny grains.
