Sunshine Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In marshes, In rainforests, and On trees.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely rigid; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
