Fingerwave Petal

Flower type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big flower grows up to 2.7 feet (81 cm) tall. Its pink-red stem is very thin and straight, and the miniature, gray-green leaves are finger-like with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Several giant flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 17 cm (6.7 inches) wide, with petals that are generally cyan; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 54 petals. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like pepper, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
