Cyan Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This short fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 28 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in thin, ridged, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the very dense wood is yellow.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with small amounts of giant, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in amber, azure and azure varieties.

In early spring, it produces many medium-sized, cyan blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like glue.

In early autumn it produces small, cuboid fruit. The fuzzy brilliant yellow skin is stretchy and inedible, and the crunchy grey flesh is sour and very dry. The light brown seeds are small and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
