Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In moorlands, and In bogs.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly strong; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
