Red Spine Giant
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This massive cactus grows up to 149 feet (45.4 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is red, and is covered in lots of flexible slate spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 10 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with magenta petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 21 curved petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like mint.
The cactus's skin is thin, the violet flesh is smooth, and the turquoise sap is thin.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
