Giant Waterleaf
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This giant flower grows up to 15.3 feet (4.7 meters) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is thin and splits into 6 branching stems halfway up, and the giant, gray leaves are perforated with irregular edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
Each stem splits 3 to 8 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 74 cm (29.1 inches) wide, with petals that are generally magenta; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 petals. They are very delicate.
It has a delicate scent that smells like varnish, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
