Waterleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This big tree grows up to 61 meters (200.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 165 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in very thick, ridged, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the soft wood is white.
The small bunches of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small amounts of covered in fine hairs, small, thin leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either turquoise or purple, with pink edges.
In late summer it forms small, blood red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
