Brownvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 304 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in very thick, cracked, brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pale brown-grey.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small amounts of fuzzy, tiny, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally dull yellow.

In late summer it forms large, dark grey, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for making paper
