Bluegrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized, green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The pleated stalks grow in thin clumps that are flexible.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, blue flower.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
