Emerald

This turquoise or green moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas On rotten logs, On trees, and In damp forests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is very flexible.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
