Magenta Puff Grass

Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized, gray-green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very narrow and elongated stalks grow in thick clumps that are flexible and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, magenta puff.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.

It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
