Caramel Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Sheds its leaves in winter)This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 588 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, slanted trunk covered in waxy, dark brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is pine-coloured.
The branches are very short and thin and are covered with small bunches of waxy, tiny, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are caramel on the edges and peach at the center.
In late summer it forms small, beige, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
