Emerald
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized cactus grows up to 68 feet (20.7 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 3 very thick stems. Each stem is emerald, and is covered in many flexible florescent red spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid yellow petals decorated with dull yellow dots and a hazel central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of many raised, round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like misty mornings.
The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the copper flesh is soft, and the hazel sap is thin.
It is suitable for making paper
It comes in 93 varieties.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
