Orange Climber

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 152 feet (46.3 meters) and growing as high as 21 feet (6.4 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 4 years for the orange stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.3 feet (38 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The pleated, crispy leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) in length. They are faded purple on the sides and hazel at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of tiny blue flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny seed pods.

It is suitable for making paper
