Spiny Stardustsucculent

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 53 feet (16.2 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in lots of fine, yellow, hair-like spines. It has a straight, stumpy, olive trunk atop a stumpy block of knobbly, exposed roots. The branches are stocky and yellow and light brown and are short, rigid and upright.

The jagged-edged, slender, pointed leaves are found in ashy blue and bronze varieties. They are flexible, but detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 36 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with lime petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a soft scent that smells like warm cookies.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the cream flesh is slimy, and the grey sap is thin.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
