Vanilla

This big flower grows up to 6.1 feet (1.9 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is thin, and the small, moss green leaves are sickle shaped with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

4 to 7 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 52 cm (20.5 inches) wide, with alternating petals of green and purple, with a light brown central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 40 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like vanilla, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
