Goldenheart

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The very thin stem is brown, and is covered in many fine, yellow, hair-like spines. The pointed leaves are gold on the sides and red at the center. Copious amounts of them grow on stocky, copper branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are delicate, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 23 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are light grey on the edges and blue at the center grows at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of several tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like rainy days.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the yellow flesh is smooth, and the amber sap is thin.

It can survive a long time without water.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
