Sunburst
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous branched, angular stems covered in ridged, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.
The branches are very long and thin that and are covered with large amounts of large, wide, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in beige and florescent yellow varieties, sturdy and crispy.
In late summer it produces copious amounts of large, white blossoms with asymmetrical petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like a newborn baby.
In early winter tiny long, curved fruits ripen. The soft intense red skin is peel-able and inedible, and the soft turquoise flesh is sour and powdery. The bronze seed is very large and sits at the end of the fruit.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
