Cheeseblossom Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 21 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, twisting trunk covered in thin, knobbly, light gray bark, and inside, the very dense wood is gray.

The small bunches of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, sickle shaped leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are either caramel or hazel, with brilliant red dots.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of large, peach blossoms with 5 oval-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like cheese.

In early autumn it produces tiny, long, curved fruit. The fuzzy orange skin is tough and salty, and the soft gold flesh is sweet and dry. The olive seeds are large and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
