Clinging Bronzeflower

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its brown stem is very thin and straight, and the large, brown leaves are thin with jagged edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are generally bronze; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like paint, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.

Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for making paper
