Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In moorlands, On rotten logs, and In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely resilient.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
