Yellowbell
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its vibrant yellow stem is very thick, and the small, pink-red leaves are light lime green on the underside and are sickle shaped with jagged edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.
Hundreds of tiny flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with solid black petals and a caramel central disk. The flower head is largely flat with many widely spaced round-tipped petals. They fall easily.
It has the faintest scent that smells like pineapple, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
