Eternal Silverpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 21 meters (68.9 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, silver bark, and inside, the dense wood is gray.

The small bunches of branches are tall, rigid and upright, with hundreds of twigs covered with copious amounts of large, yellow-green needles. The needles themselves are rigid.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, gentle red, shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
