Lime
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This large fruit tree grows up to 24 feet (7.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 72 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, twisting trunk covered in rough, brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale yellow.
The branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of tiny, asymmetrical leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid lime or cyan, with silver zig-zags.
In early spring, it produces large amounts of large, white blossoms with asymmetrical petals. They are hardy and have a powerful scent that smells like onion.
In early summer it produces very large, wide fruit. The fuzzy light brown skin is stretchy and inedible, and the crunchy cream flesh is spicy and sour and sticky. The brown seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
