Brownwood
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This big tree grows up to 68 meters (223.1 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2214 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in fine, knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is dark brown.
The branches trail down across the ground, with hundreds of twigs covered with thick bunches of tiny, yellow-green needles. The needles themselves are hardy.
In late summer it produces large, cream seed pods.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
