Grayfern

This gray-green moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly resilient.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores.
