Blueleaf Cottonbloom

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 94 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of branched, crooked stems covered in thin, cracked, dark green bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches trail down across the ground that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, thick, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid dark brown with brilliant blue edges, flexible and smooth.

It produces a handful of large, red flowers with circular petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like cotton. In early autumn it forms medium-sizeddark brown aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
